Meet Our Founder

Dr. Donahue graduated with a DDS degree from the School of Dentistry at the University of Missouri–Kansas City and was recognized for Honors in Prosthodontics. He was also awarded the Distinguished Prosthodontic Student of the Year. Following his general dentistry education, Dr. Donahue graduated from the Combined Prosthetics at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. This program required an additional 33 months of extensive training in all aspects of the dynamics of a smile, the preservation of a healthy mouth, and the creation of tooth replacements.

Dr. Donahue is licensed by the state of Missouri as a Prosthodontist. Prosthodontists are dentists who undergo specialty training in the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance of complex clinical conditions. They use specialized materials, techniques, and technologies to restore smiles and improve alignment and chewing function. Prosthodontics is one of the nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA).

Katie

Professionally: Katie attended the Midwest Institute for Dental Assisting. She has been a dental assistant since 2006 and has been with Donahue Dental since 2007. In 2011, she became an expanded functions assistant, allowing her to perform more duties on her own, such as cementing crowns and adjusting dentures. Katie has a great understanding of all aspects of dentistry and works continuously to learn about the latest techniques and products available in dentistry.

At Home: Katie enjoys going shopping and finding the perfect sale, going to the movies and watching TV shows like Big Bang Theory, and spending time with her husband Justin and their son Austin.

Kim

Professionally: Kim attended dental assisting school at Midwest Institute in Earth City and has worked with Donahue Dental since she completed her internship in 2004. She completed training to become an expanded functions dental assistant in 2010. She enjoys staying up-to-date on the latest dental technology and dental research, exceeding the continuing education requirements every year. Kim really enjoys working with our patients, watching the amazing transformations we provide for their smiles, and seeing the joy we bring them.

At Home: Kim has been married since 2005 to her loving husband, Adam. Together, they have two beautiful daughters and a handsome little boy who means the world to them. Kim really enjoys outdoor activities like shooting a bow and swimming and spending time at home relaxing with her family.

Sarah

Professionally: Sarah graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Office Management. She has been in the dental profession since 2003 and joined our team in 2007 as our Office Manager. Sarah is responsible for heading up the front and back of the office and assisting Dr. Donahue with both clerical and secretarial duties. She also is in charge of putting together all of our donation baskets and giveaways. We admire her work ethic and attention to detail. When asked what her favorite part of her job is, she said, “Helping our patients understand and get the most out of their dental insurance benefits.”

At home: Sarah was raised in Oklahoma and moved to Missouri in 2004. She and her husband, Tom, were married in 2005 and reside in O’Fallon. Their family includes her son Hunter, her niece Katelyn, her nephew Carter, and their two Miniature Pinschers, Pumpkin and Biscuit. Sarah enjoys baking, road trips, bargain shopping, trivia, movies, and going to the beach.

Jodi

Professionally: Jodi worked as a dental assistant for 13 years, then attended Lewis and Clark Community College for dental hygiene and graduated in 2005. Jodi joined the Donahue Dental team in 2010. She is very dedicated to educating our patients on proper oral hygiene and how it affects their overall health. Our patients just love Jodi and her bubbly personality. She loves coming to work, meeting new people, and helping them maintain a healthy, beautiful smile.

At home: Jodi has been married to her husband Joe since 2005 and they have two children, Tucker and Ava. They live in Glen Carbon, Illinois, and Jodi says she doesn’t mind the commute at all. She enjoys running, sewing, and spending time with her family.
